Families in Global Transition (FIGT) is a welcoming forum for globally mobile individuals, families, and those working with them. We promote cross-sector connections for sharing research and developing best practices that support the growth, success and well-being of people crossing cultures around the world. The Netherlands FIGT Affiliate was founded in 2014, and is co-chaired by Kate Berger. As of October, 2016 Kate sits on FIGT’s Board of Directors as Programs Logistics Chair.
The mission of FIGT NL is to:
• bring together representatives of the corporate, diplomatic, academic, religious and military sectors present in the Netherlands to share their cross-cultural coping strategies;
• encourage the exchange of information between expatriates and professionals involved with global transitions;
• continue the work of FIGT beyond its annual conference by meeting locally to support and educate professionals who work to improve the lives of families in global transition.
If you are interested in becoming involved in FIGT NL’s network and meetings, please contact Kate or netherlands@figt.org.
